Passion Play Auditions

Kids Casting Notes: Our Passion play this year is Hope Has Come, written and directed by Susan Storm. Auditions are open to everyone age 8 and older. A children’s choir will also be formed for the performance but participation does not require an audition.

Ephrata Performing Arts Center presents
2017 Season Auditions

Auditions: Jan 12, 13 & 14 BY APPOINTMENT
Callbacks (if necessary): Dec 11 TBD
Performances: Mar 16 – 25, 2017
Kids Casting Notes: Ages 15 – adult. Auditions for children 14 years of age and younger will be held at a later time; Musical applicants must present a memorized monologue no longer than two minutes and a one-minute song. If you are interested in chorus/ensemble role, only a song is required. Please bring your own sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. You may use a CD or karaoke track for accompaniment; however, please bring your own technology to play the music, as one will NOT be provided. Play applicants need only present the memorized monologue. No auditions materials will be provided.

Kids Casting Notes: Ages HS age – adult; Please prepare around 32 bars of a song similar to the style of the show, and be prepared to read from the script and complete a dance audition.

Sister Act

Performances: Mar 31 – Apr 2, 2017
Kids Casting Notes: Ages HS age – adult; Sing 16-20 bars of an upbeat song of your choice. Please do NOT sing a song from the show. You must sing with OUR provided accompaniment, a CD with NO vocals, or with a device you provide. NO a cappella auditions will be allowed. You may be asked to sing scales by our accompanist; Be prepared to read provided selections from the script; Complete a dance audition, taught by the show choreographer (dress appropriately); Be prepared to fill out a conflict sheet* at auditions (be as specific as possible about all conflicts); Make sure you read over the rehearsal and performance schedules before committing to the show*

A three to four-year college and career preparation program for high school students.
180PREP is Open Stage Studio School’s pre-professional training program for actors ages 14-18.

180 prep brings the New York City experience 180 miles from Broadway to Harrisburg. CLICK HERE TO ENROLL.

This three-year program is designed to prepare the serious young actor for the rigors of the college and conservatory audition process, a prospective professional career, or the continued study of and participation in theatre. The program also includes parent mentoring, master classes with Broadway and university professionals, and a student showcase. The showcase in May serves as a capstone experience for the young performers, with industry representatives invited to give feedback on the performances as well.

Interested in joining 180PREP? Students may enter the program at any time during their high school years. Admittance to the program is by audition only. Semesters are September to November and March to May.

OSHKids Performance Company 2016-2017 presents Shel-abration

starts September 2016

Audition to be in the OSHKids Performance Company: Call 717-214-3248 to set up an audition.
Young actors 8-13 years-old will spend nine months (Sept 2016 to May 2017) with instructor Stuart Landon, exploring the works of Shel Silverstein, author of Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, The Giving Tree, and so many more award-winning stories and poetry collections. We will spend the year learning about and producing an evening of readers theatre based on his whimsical worlds!

OSHKids have the option to opt-into being in the cast of Open Stage’s dazzling new produciton of A Christmas Carol, which plays throughout December. The OSHKids will have a limited rehearsal scheudle for the production. See the class and production calendar for a full schedule.
