Gettysburg Community Theatre presents
The Diary of Anne Frank

Auditions: Nov 14 & 15 at 7pm
Performances: Feb 17 – March 5, 2017
Kids Casting Notes: Actors should dress comfortably, bring their calendars with them to write down unavailability on their audition forms. We will cold read from the script. Rehearsal schedule will be created based on availability submitted at auditions.

Ephrata Performing Arts Center presents
The Lion King Jr.

Auditions: Nov 19 – By Appointment
Performances: Feb 3 – 19, 2017
Kids Casting Notes: Ages 6 to 15. No prepared monologue or song required. Performers will be taught a simple dance and a few measures of a selected song. Performers are asked to bring a recent headshot photo and to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Time slots have been designated for specific age groups. Auditions will be 10am to 1pm for ages 6-10, followed by 2pm to 6pm for ages 11-15. You may register online or on the day of your auditions. Any questions, feel free to email the director at camp@ephrataperformingartscenter.com.

December Auditions

DreamWright Youth & Family Theatre presents
Babe, the Sheep-Pig

Auditions: Dec 13 OR 14 6p
Performances: Feb 10 – 26, 2017
Kids Casting Notes: Ages 7 – adult. This multi-generational shows is doubled – both cast and crew – allowing for involvement of twice as many participants. You only need to attend one of the two nights. Advanced preparation is not needed. All crew positions are filled through auditionees. Bring your calendar to list any conflicts you may have with the rehearsal schedule. (This does not eliminate you, but allows us to work out the final schedule to the best of all.)
Rehearsals typically start within one week of auditions and run evenings (6-9) and weekends. Double casted shows alternate rehearsals between the 2 casts, so you only come to half of the scheduled rehearsal dates. Frequency of rehearsals depends upon the role you receive.

A three to four-year college and career preparation program for high school students.
180PREP is Open Stage Studio School’s pre-professional training program for actors ages 14-18.

180 prep brings the New York City experience 180 miles from Broadway to Harrisburg. CLICK HERE TO ENROLL.

This three-year program is designed to prepare the serious young actor for the rigors of the college and conservatory audition process, a prospective professional career, or the continued study of and participation in theatre. The program also includes parent mentoring, master classes with Broadway and university professionals, and a student showcase. The showcase in May serves as a capstone experience for the young performers, with industry representatives invited to give feedback on the performances as well.

Interested in joining 180PREP? Students may enter the program at any time during their high school years. Admittance to the program is by audition only. Semesters are September to November and March to May.

OSHKids Performance Company 2016-2017 presents Shel-abration

starts September 2016

Audition to be in the OSHKids Performance Company: Call 717-214-3248 to set up an audition.
Young actors 8-13 years-old will spend nine months (Sept 2016 to May 2017) with instructor Stuart Landon, exploring the works of Shel Silverstein, author of Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, The Giving Tree, and so many more award-winning stories and poetry collections. We will spend the year learning about and producing an evening of readers theatre based on his whimsical worlds!

OSHKids have the option to opt-into being in the cast of Open Stage’s dazzling new produciton of A Christmas Carol, which plays throughout December. The OSHKids will have a limited rehearsal scheudle for the production. See the class and production calendar for a full schedule.
