Kids Casting Notes:
Material from your audition book or from the season. Please bring other songs as alternative options if asked to sing other material.

Minors: 16 bars of one song
Adults: 32 bars of one song
Pianist provided.

Susquehanna Stage Co presents Honk Jr.

Auditions:

Kids Casting Notes:

We are looking to cast young performers from the ages of 6 to 16 in our production of Honk Jr.

Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show.
An accompanist will be present.
Those auditioning will be taught a simple dance combination and may be asked
to stay and read sides from the show.

Please prepare two contrasting songs, 32 bars each, and an optional one-minute monologue. An accompanist will be provided.

For consideration in A Christmas Carol ONLY, no musical selections required. Prepare a one minute monologue of your choosing. In keeping with the nature of the piece, monologues of a more classical nature are encouraged – dialect optional.

*For consideration in I’ll Fly Away, instrumentalists are encouraged to prepare two contrasting examples for their instrument as well as or in place of a vocal audition.

Gettysburg Community Theatre presents Godspell

Auditions:
Dec 14 or 15 starting at 7pm

Performances:
Mar 2 – 18, 2018

Kids Casting Notes:

Casting teens – adult.

Dress in comfortable attire as there will be a movement/dance combo taught to everyone.

Everyone must sing so please prepare 16-32 measures (one chorus) of a Broadway or Pop song of your choice. A pianist will be provided for those that bring sheet music.

This is an ensemble cast of singer/dancers.

EPAC presents Fun Home

Kids Casting Notes:

These auditions are ONLY for the following roles. All others see 2018 Season Auditions info.

  • Young Alison – female -9 years old – must sing well and acting and dance experience preferred. We are seeing young actresses between 9 and 13 years of age
  • Christian Bechdel – male – 10 years old -must sing well and acting and dance experience preferred. We are seeing young actors between 9 and 13 years of age
  • John Bechdel – male – 6 – years old -must sing well and acting and dance experience preferred. We are seeing young actors between 6 and 10 years of age

Those auditioning should come prepared with a one-minute monologue and a one-minute song.
NOTE: Parents must be aware that Fun Home is a very adult musical. Although there is no nudity, Fun Home deals with adult subject matter and contains adult language. It is advised that parents of those auditioning become very familiar with the material before signing up for an audition.

Theatre Harrisburg presents Hairspray

Auditions:
Dec. 2 1 – 4 pm (must arrive and be signed up by 3:30 pm)

Callbacks: (by invitation only) from 1 – 4 pm on Sunday, December 3

Performances:
Apr 26 – May 6, 2018

Kids Casting Notes:

Please prepare:
32 bars (or approximately 1 to 1.5 minute) of a song in the style of the show
-Songs from the show and popular music that reflects the time period are fine.
-Please bring sheet music in the correct key
-An accompanist will be provided
Some auditionees may be asked to learn a dance combination for Sunday’s callbacks. There will be someone on-site Saturday to teach the dance so that you may practice it in advance of the callback. Please bring clothing you are able to move in. You will be able to learn the dance after you have finished your singing audition.

Rehearsals:
Sundays and 3 to 4 weeknights each week. Rehearsals will begin February and will be scheduled around actors’ conflicts as much as possible. Also, not every actor will be called to every rehearsal. However, it is important to limit incidental conflicts such as can be avoided. Please bring all of your conflicts from February – April to be listed on your audition form to aid in rehearsal scheduling should you be offered and accept a role.

EPAC holding 2018 Season Auditions

Auditions:
Friday, January 11 and 12 6:30 – 9:30 PM;
Saturday, January 13 11:00 AM – 8 PM.; and
Sunday, January 14 1:00 – 6:00 PM.

Kids Casting Notes:
Ages 15+. Musical applicants must present a memorized monologue no longer than two minutes and a one-minute song. If you are interested in chorus/ensemble role, only a song is required. Please bring your own sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. You may use a CD or karaoke track for accompaniment; however, please bring your own technology to play the music, as one will NOT be provided. Play applicants need only present the memorized monologue.
